My approach

I use a collaborative, non-prescriptive approach, recognizing that each person is first and foremost the expert on their own body and life. This is why the first consultation starts with an in-depth motivational interview, where we explore your goals and difficulties together, then plan a shared path of change that is gradual and sustainable over time.

I always emphasize that every change we want to introduce into our lifestyle has both motivations for and against it. To successfully make a change, we need to understand both deeply, and expect that the path will never be linear, but rather zigzagging.

My goal is not to prescribe rigid diets to endure for a few weeks, but to help you find a lasting balance with food, building a mindful and natural relationship with eating that becomes an integral part of your life.

I work on both nutrition education, essential for prevention and long-term health, and nutrition in the presence of specific conditions and health issues. In this second case, a documented medical diagnosis is required.

I also believe it’s not possible to change one’s diet without paying attention to the other key pillars of a healthy lifestyle, such as physical activity, sleep, stress management, sun exposure, quality social relationships, and contact with nature.

Below you’ll find some areas I work in.

Prevention and wellbeing

  • Nutrition education for prevention and longevity, for all dietary patterns: omnivore, pescatarian, lacto-ovo-vegetarian, and vegan
  • Nutrition for women’s health at every stage of life (fertile age, pregnancy, breastfeeding, menopause)
  • Healthy weight loss, controlled weight gain, and body recomposition

Clinical nutrition management

  • Metabolic disorders and cardiovascular health (diabetes, insulin resistance, PMOS, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and triglycerides)
  • Gastrointestinal disorders (irritable bowel syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux, constipation, diverticular disease, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis)
  • Food allergies and intolerances (lactose intolerance, celiac disease, nickel allergy)
  • Liver and kidney conditions (fatty liver, kidney stones, kidney failure)
